1. Kiev’s plot against the ZNPP: the latest one from many previous attempts
Reliable sources have informed that Ukraine that sustained heavy losses during totally unprepared ‘counteroffensive or ‘offensive’ was on the verge to launch a large-scale attack on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on July 5, 2023 with a missile stuffed with radioactive waste, a senior Russian atomic energy industry official warned on July 4, 2023.
The warning was voiced by Renat Karchaa, a senior aide to the head of Rosenergoatom, a subsidiary to Russia’s state-owned atomic energy giant Rosatom. The official cited intelligence data received by the industry. “On July 5……, Ukrainian forces will attempt an attack on the Zaporozhye plant with long-range high-precision munitions, as well as suicide drones,” he told Rossiya 24 TV channel.
The apparent goal of the secondary attack is to cause an uptick in radioactivity readings in the region should the main launch fail to damage the facility enough to cause the release of hazardous materials into the air.
Kiev was also expected to attempt a strike on the plant with a heavy, Soviet-made Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile, Karchaa went on. The munition has been filled with radioactive waste collected from the South-Ukrainian NPP, totally controlled by Kiev military junta.
Alarming records:
Irrelevant and unprofessional Ukrainian chieftains have recently intentionally damaged Kakholvka Dam that caused heavy flooding in the vast area controlled by Russia; exploded ammonia pipeline that originates from the mainland Russia and ends in Odessa and still is owned by Russia, and shelled the ZNPP more than 50 times by more than 400 different shells and rockets since Russian began its operating and monitoring.
Currently the ZNPP is controlled by Russia likewise the territory where it is operating.
Though Rafael Mariano Grossi, the IAEA Director-General, denied rumors circulated by Ukrainian bosses that Russia has allegedly placed some mines at the ZNPP, he never criticized Kiev for shelling the station so many times and damaged it electric grid and cooling system several times.
Vesti FM Russian federal radio station reported that late at night on July 4, 2023 a number of Western leaders made several telephone calls to Ukrainian leaders persuading them not to attack and damage the ZNPP that could create a severe disaster to the adjacent countries in Europe.
So, by July 5, 2023 Kiev decided not to attack the ZNPP. But when it will if its threats in so many cases became a reality?
2. Medvedev proposed how Ukraine aggression could ‘end in days’
The ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev has been dragging on for so long due to continued Western arms shipments to Ukraine, Russian former president Dmitry Medvedev told TASS on July 5, 2023.
“If NATO, primarily the USA and its vassals, had stopped supplying weapons and munitions to Ukraine, the [Russian] Special Military Operation would have ended in mere months,” Medvedev told the news agency. It can still end “in days,” however, if Washington and its allies stopped the deliveries, he added.
Medvedev, who currently serves as Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council, warned that Russia would prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, even if it meant engaging in a “permanent” conflict. Moscow has demanded its security concerns be respected when it comes to NATO expansion, he said, adding that “Russia’s existence is at stake” and it would not hesitate to stop this threat “one way or another.”
