Report # 164. Putin: Russia's clash with the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine was inevitable

November 8, 2022

On November 4, 2022 President Vladimir Putin met with historians and representatives of Russia’s traditional religions at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow. Here are some of his remarks made on Ukraine:

“For decades after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine experienced direct, overt interference from Western countries in its internal affairs. Actually, they tried to do the same in Russia, but, unfortunately, in Ukraine they managed to instill in the minds of millions of people the pseudo-values that led to the fact that they created an anti-Russia on this territory, sowing hatred, raping people's consciousness, depriving them of their true history. Everything was done to reshape the consciousness of millions, and they very skillfully tried to light the fuse to cause the fall of our country.  …..

The clash with the neo-Nazi regime – Russia's clash with the neo-Nazi regime that developed in Ukraine – was inevitable, and had we not taken action in February, it would have been the same, only from a worse position for us. The situation in Ukraine was brought on by its so-called friends to the point where it became deadly for Russia and suicidal for the Ukrainian people themselves. And we see this even in the nature of the hostilities – it is amazing what is happening there; it is as if the Ukrainian people do not exist, they are thrown into the furnace, and that is it.

It is Ukraine and the Ukrainian people that have become the first and the main victims of breeding hate towards Russians and Russia. Meanwhile, everything is exactly the opposite in Russia, and you are well aware of that – we have always treated the Ukrainian people with warm respect. It has been like that despite today’s tragic confrontation.”

In his statement # 182/2022 posted on November 5, 2022 on the IAEA website Rafael Grossi, the head of IAEA, again failed to point out who has shelled Zaporozhye NPP (ZNPP), by stating only:

“This 750 kV line [external power line] was disconnected [NOTE: DICONNECTED BY AFU] from the entire ZNPP site following shelling late on Wednesday [November 2nd] and the 330 kV line was also lost just a few hours later, with both sustaining physical damage around 50-60 kilometres from the plant in Ukrainian-controlled territory. The ZNPP’s emergency diesel generators automatically started generating back-up power until external power was restored. At that time, the plant had fuel for around 15 days of diesel generator operations”. …

On November 7 AFU again shelled ZNPP. According to the Russian MoD:

. Over the past 24 hours, AFU artillery units have launched seven projectiles at Energodar where ZNPP is located, from the Ukrainian-controlled areas,

On November 6 AFU again shelled ZNPP. According to the Russian MoD:

Kiev regime continued its provocations aimed at creating a possible technological disaster at ZNPP. Over the past 24 hours, AFU artillery units have launched fifteen large-calibre projectiles at Energodar, and the territory adjacent to the nuclear power plant. The shelling was conducted from AFU-controlled areas of Vysshetarasovka and Kapulovka controlled by Kiev (Dnepropetrovsk Region). Russian artillery's counterattack has resulted in the destruction of one Ukrainian Msta-B howitzer, and two AFU vehicles.

On November 2 AFU again shelled ZNPP. According to the Russian MoD:

During the day, artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have fired nine shells at the industrial zone of the thermal power plant of the city of Energodar and the territory adjacent to ZNPP. The shelling was carried out from the Ukrainian-controlled areas of the settlements of Marganets and Chervonogrigorovka, Dnepropetrovsk Region. 3. Hungary effused to finance Ukraine

Hungary will not provide money for an EU loan for Ukraine in the amount of 18 billion euros. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. “We are ready to continue financial support on a bilateral basis, on the basis of a bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Hungary. But we, of course, will not support any common EU borrowing in this area,” the head of the Hungarian diplomatic service clarified.
