Report # 18. The humanitarian situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate rapidly

March 13th, 2022

1. The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is getting worse

It continues to deteriorate rapidly, and in some cities it is catastrophic.

Armed formations of nationalists are mining residential areas, destroying bridges, roads, and life support facilities. They create strongholds in residential areas, hospitals, schools, kindergartens. In besieged Mariupol, armed gangs of neo-Nazis staged another so-called "looting raid" on residential buildings, during which, under threat of physical violence, they took the last food, clothing and valuables from civilians. Those who showed the slightest resistance were shot on the spot. In Volnovakha they shelled a maternity hospital by direct tank and MPLS Grad fire before they retreated and exploded a number of its sections. Eight civilians have been found dead at this place (see attached slide).

Many refugee that luckily managed to escape are telling the world the whole truth about this tragedy. They compare these Ukrainian atrocities with those conducted by Nazi Germany during the WWII in Europe.

Russian forces have liberated the settlement of Nikolskoye, where members of the "Aidar" battalion set up an artillery position. At least 300 people, including monks, who had been taken hostage by Ukrainian radicals at Nikolskoye, were freed by the Russian troops unharmed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a telephone conversation with them on March 12th to influence Kiev to force its nationalist battalions to stop committing crimes. Putin namely recalled that these groups have thwarted efforts to evacuate citizens via humanitarian corridors on many occasions. He also cited the numerous incidences of the "flagrant violation" of international humanitarian laws by Ukrainian security forces.

2. Humanitarian corridors

On March 12th, at 10:00 AM local time Russia again provided humanitarian corridors for the eighth time leading from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol, along one humanitarian corridor directed to the Russian Federation, and one more through the territories controlled by the Kiev authorities towards the western borders of Ukraine. Of these ten routes the Ukrainian side added one more - in Zhytomyr direction. It was accepted.

However, no notifications of the population in Kiev, Chernigov, Kharkov, Sumy and Mariupol cities were given by the Ukrainian side. On the contrary the nationalists did not stop shooting. They intentionally block people wishing to escape to Russia and Belarus thus depriving the right of refugees to go freely to any place they desire and to find the shortest possible way to find a safer place.

Was it necessary and expedient for the USA and NATO backed by the EU to implant pro-Western presidents in Kiev to get such terrible results?

So far only 9,787 people, including 1,738 children, were evacuated from the dangerous zones of various regions of Ukraine, as well as the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, during the day without the participation of the Ukrainian side.

By March 12th, more than 231,000 people have been evacuated to Russia since the beginning of the special military operation. 51,996 of them were children.

The Kiev authorities does not offer humanitarian assistance to the trapped people in need.

On the contrary, Russia delivered totally 1,935 tons of humanitarian cargo to Ukraine, 237 humanitarian actions have been carried out, including 22 actions in Kiev, Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Chernigov Regions, as well as in Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, during which 264 tons of basic necessities, medicines and food were distributed among civilian population of the liberated areas.

3. Russia issues a strong warning to the West

The ‘mindless’ handover of weapons to Kiev makes arms convoys ‘legitimate targets,’ Moscow said. Supplying Ukraine with Western arms only serves to worsen the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Saturday, March 12th, warning that Russian forces could potentially target such deliveries. “It is the US that is the major source of international tension,” he noted, slamming America’s “material support for the criminal regime in Kiev.” He also warned that the “mindless handover” of “dangerous arms” like portable air-defense and anti-tank missiles poses a threat to Western nations themselves.

Last week, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also expressed concerns over such weapons getting “into the wrong hands” after the conflict ends. Portable air-defense missiles could pose a particular risk to civil aviation in the skies over Ukraine or Europe for years to come, he added.

President Biden totally allocated $ 1,2 billion for continuation of the existence of ultra-nazi regime in Kiev and for the extermination of Ukrainians.

4. Developments at the battlespace

Despite slowdown in movement into Ukrainian territory due to the humanitarian factor, Russian Armed Forces continue their drive with the aim to liberate Ukraine and Europe from newly-born Nazism, like they did in 1945 (see attached slide).

According to Russian MoD, during March 12th, Russian Aerospace Forces shot down one Mi-24 helicopter and three unmanned aerial vehicles, including one Bayraktar TB-2 drone of the Ukrainian Air Forces.

Russian operational-tactical piloted and unmanned aviation hit 79 military infrastructure assets of Ukraine, including: 4 command/control and communication centers, two anti-aircraft missile systems, three multiple launch rocket systems (MRLS), one electronic warfare station, 6 ammunition and fuel depots and 54 areas packed with military equipment.

In total, during the operation that began February 24th, 2022 till now 3,687 Ukrainian military facilities have been destroyed and disabled.

Destroyed were: 99 aircraft, 128 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,194 tanks and APVs, 121 MRLS, 443 field artillery guns and mortars, 991 special military vehicles.

Russian MoD for the first time disclosed the use of a new high-altitude drone capable to destroy ground targets from the altitude of 3 kilometers.

5. Chernobyl and Zaporozhie NPPs under control

There is still full Ukrainian civil management at them monitored by some Russian experts from Rosatom. Ukrainian security officers have been disarmed and sent back home. Russian troops are now securing the situation around these NPPs. Electricity to the Chernobyl plant is supplied directly from Belarus, because Ukrainian saboteurs exploded its electric supply station.

Russia still remembers when the Chernobyl nuclear disaster took place in 1986 due to a human blunder: Ukrainian operators melted down reactor # 4 due to unauthorized “experiment”. Enhanced radiation level was recorded that year even too far away – at Sellafield NPP, Cumbria, the UK.

Note: all previous, current and future reports were, are and will be prepared upon official information.
