Report # 153. Russia has strongly warned Zelensky and NATO

October 10, 2022

Multiple missile strikes targeted 14 Ukrainian cities, all across the country, on October 10th morning, according to local officials and media. The news comes two days after a bomb explosion arranged by Security Service of Ukraine damaged the strategic Crimean Bridge – which Moscow has labelled a Ukrainian terrorist attack.

The office of Valery Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – by the way wearing a wrist bracelet with engraved fascist swastika – reported they had detected at least 75 missiles.

Russian federal TV Chanel One announced in the evening of October 10 that the total number of them was around 200, being fired in several salvos. Three types of missiles have been used: land-based, sea-based and air-based. Ukrainian officials confirmed that nearly 30 different important facilities have been targeted, outlined by the Kremlin that they belong to military command and control centers, communications assets and energy systems.

President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed the attacks throughout the country in a video address, saying numerous parts of Ukraine had come under fire, and claimed that Russia was targeting the energy infrastructure. Local officials in Lvov, Kharkov, and Odessa and eleven others also reported that their cities came under fire.

In Kiev, damage from the strikes was reported near the HQ of the Security Service of Ukraine, which is located in the government area of the capital. City officials halted operations of the metro system, and the stations have been used as shelters for civilians. The head of Lvov Region, Maksim Kozitsky, reported that elements of the western province’s energy infrastructure came under attack. Vitaly Kim, who heads the southern Nikolaev Region which borders Russia’s Kherson Region, reported dozens of projectiles and a number of kamikaze drones coming from Russian troops. He claimed that Moscow was targeting “critical infrastructure throughout the country.

2. President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russian Security Council with explanation of the attack (Moscow, October 10):

“Colleagues, good afternoon,

You know that yesterday Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin reported to me on the first results of the investigation into the act of sabotage on the Crimean Bridge.

The forensic and other expert data, as well as operational information, show that the October 8 explosion was an act of terrorism aimed at destroying Russia's civilian and critical infrastructure.

It is also clear that the Ukrainian special services were the organisers and perpetrators of the attack. The Kiev regime has long been using terrorist methods, including murders of public figures, journalists and scientists, both in Ukraine and in Russia. And terrorist attacks on towns in Donbass, which have been going on for more than eight years. And also acts of nuclear terrorism, by which I mean missile and artillery strikes on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.

This is not the whole story: Ukraine's special services have also carried out three terrorist acts against Russia's Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, repeatedly blowing up the plant's high-voltage lines. The third such terrorist attack damaged three of those lines at once. The damage was repaired in the shortest possible time and there were no serious consequences.

However, there have been a number of other terrorist attacks and attempts to commit similar crimes against electricity generation and gas transportation infrastructure facilities in our country, including an attempt to blow up a section of the TurkStream gas pipeline system.

All this has been proven by objective data, including the testimony of the detained perpetrators.

It is well known that Russian representatives are not allowed to take part in the investigation into the causes of explosions at and the destruction of international gas pipelines running under the Baltic Sea. But we all know who ultimately benefits from this crime.

Thus, the Kiev regime, by its actions, has actually put itself on the same level as international terrorist groups, and with the most odious of those. It is simply no longer possible to leave crimes of this kind without retaliation.

This morning, at the proposal of the Defence Ministry and in accordance with the plan of Russia’s General Staff, a massive strike was launched with long-range precision air, sea and land-based weapons against Ukrainian energy, military and communications facilities”.

“In the event of more attempts to stage terrorist attacks on our territory, Russia's response will be harsh and commensurate with the threats posed to the Russian Federation. Nobody should have any doubts about that”, – President warned.

3. Byelorussian President Lukashenko announced creation of the regional Armed Forces Grouping with Russia

On October 10, President Lukashenko announced formation of the Regional Armed Forces Grouping with Russia that was tasked to offset NATO aggression from neighboring countries-members of the transatlantic alliance.

Belarus accused Ukraine of planning attack it.

It was announced that Ukrainian forces have destroyed almost all bridges and mined the roads along the border with Belarus, Anatoly Lappo, chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus, said on October 9. "Today, almost all border bridges have been blown up, and automobile and railway border routes are completely mined,” Lappo told Belarusian TV.  Ukrainian forces have fortified the border "to the extent that they put anti-tank mines in three rows on the roads," Lappo added.

4. Concerning attack on Crimean Bridge, a Russian commentator nloted:

The massive strike against key cities in Ukraine was not caused by Ukrainian attack of the Crimean Bridge on October 8, 2022 only.

The attack was initiated by several factors, like genocide of civilians in Donbass for the last eight years [see Report # 146 dated September 27, 2022], continued shelling of many settlements in Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions, and many cities and villages in Russia. Moscow also discovered several dozens of U.S. biolabs in Ukraine and Kiev’s attempts to acquire nuclear weapons from NATO,

Such terrorist attack took place not because of barbarism of the inhuman Kiev’s regime only. It happened also due to constant incitement of Zelensky by NATO/EU, amid dead silence from the UNO and the OSCE.

Russia can deliver a more sophisticated military blow on Ukraine itself and on the battlefield in particular, because such provocative action means the escalation of hostile Ukrainian activity on the Russian territory, damaging and disrupting key transport infrastructure of the federal importance used to deliver essential foodstuff, medical equipment, construction materials, transport fuel and lubricants, etc to a great number of people; gradually expanding it to more and more areas on its territory and endangering the lives of more and more civilians.

Such Ukrainian gangsterism initiated and sponsored by current Ukrainian leaders in also designed and implemented to hamper a free movement of travelers to Crimea and back to the mainland Russia, including a lot of tourists and enthusiasts who desire to see the ancient city of Khersones located in Crimea – the initial birthplace of Christianity in Russia.

The current Russians and other nations living in the vast and mighty Great Russian Federation are fully committed to defend all its territory and all its facilities and material assets in any place and at any time.

Moscow has a full and undeniable right to defend such critical infrastructure of strategic importance with all means it has at its disposal nowadays and it would have at its discretion. The Russian Armed Forces can use such gangsterism as a pretext to attack a number of Ukrainian facilities also related to critical infrastructure. Such powerful response can be done any time and in any place on Ukrainian territory by using the statement of a famous Russian warrior named Duke Alexander Nevsky who after defeating the knights of the Teutonic Order who wished to conquer a European part of Russia in the 13th century exclaimed eloquently:

“Let any guest come to our land without a fear. But those who will come to us with swords, will perish with the help of swords. The Russian land has relied and will rely on such a notion”.

Those who has not realized it – be them in Kiev or Washington or London, etc, will keep deep-seated sorrow in their memory for many decades to come.
