1. Trapped people
On March 5th, 2022 from 10:00 Moscow time, at the request of the Ukrainian side, in the area of Mariupol and Volnovakha, a “silence regime” was effected till 17:00 Moscow time the same day with a complete halt in hostilities to ensure the evacuation of the civilian population.
It has been reported by local Ukrainian authorities in these cities, totally 200.000 persons living in Mariupol (of nearly 400.000) and 15.000 people residents in Volnovakha wanted to leave them via humanitarian corridors.
By 20:00 evening time only 36 persons have managed to use these corridors because neo-nazi battalions prevented other people to escape from these two besieged cities and used the trapped civilians as a "human shield". Ukrainian authorities refused to inform the local population about such corridors and their timeframe.
The Ukrainian nationalist battalions took advantage of the "silence regime" to regroup and consolidate their positions.
Due to the unwillingness of the Ukrainian side to influence the nationalists or to extend the “silence regime”, offensive operations resumed from 18:00 Moscow time March 5th.
2. More strikes
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to strike at the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
On March 5th they destroyed: 5 radar stations, 2 Buk M-1 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4 Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force (UAF) were shot down in an air battle in Zhytomir region and 1 Su-25 was shot down by air defence systems in the Nezhin region. Also, the air defence forces destroyed the Mi-8 helicopter of the UAF and Turkish Bayraktar TB-2 unmanned aerial vehicle.
In total, since the beginning of the operation February 24th, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have hit 2,119 military targets. Among them: 74 command posts and communication centers, 108 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, 68 radar stations. Also, 69 aircraft on the ground and 21 aircraft in the air, 748 tanks and other armored vehicles, 76 MLRSs, 274 field artillery pieces and mortars, 532 special military vehicles, as well as 59 unmanned drones have been destroyed.
Major UAF base near Kherson with a lot of tanks/APCs and ammunition has been captured without any resistance.
3. “Radioactive terrorism” by Kiev
With the aim to persuade NATO to proclaim a NFZ over Ukraine President Zelensky orchestrated a world-wide provocation at Zaporozhie Nuclear Power Plant or ZNPP protected by Russian Armed Forces. Kiev disseminated a fake information that RF tanks ambushed ZNPP. But in reality neo-nazi military group shelled its training center situated at ZNPP area. The fire has been quickly extinguished. None of six active reactors were damaged. RF troops and Ukrainian operators are maintaining the security arrangements in full cooperation. The IAEA director confirmed that the radiation level at ZNPP is normal.
The reasons that such false story was actively launched at the UN SC meeting and at the IAEA is that by blackmailing Europe with invented “radioactive contamination” president Zelensky has used the fake to put pressure upon NATO to set up a NFZ over Ukraine with the aim to start direct war between the Russia & NATO and to give a chance to carry weapons from Poland without airborne attacks.
Backing such provocative actions made by Kiev the USA and NATO once again confirmed that they are still unprofessionally protecting the failed Ukrainian regime under any pretext and without any normal verification of the events.
